Yoga is amazing.

mercury-mornings:

I’ve always hated my arms. They’re way too fat because I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass after quitting martial arts, and I have wrist problems so I can’t work them out properly with out hurting my wrists. However, since I started doing intensive yoga, focusing on my arms and thighs, I can feel my arms getting leaner and less, well, flabby. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t like or can’t do normal arm exercises.

Real life yoga story! Yoga is, indeed, pretty useful to tone your arms. Go do some downward facing dog now :)

Drugs?! No, thanks! I’ll do yoga instead.

Prescription drugs always freaked the shit out of me… I’ve never liked them and I don’t think I ever will. When I broke my back, it really surprised me how easy it was to get prescription painkillers… Docs were giving them to me like giving candy to a child. What the hell?! Well, needless to say, I believe I used 1-2 vicodins at most and telling you, it was not that bad… Ok, I had pain… good amount of pain.. but well, i survived! I guess what I am trying to say is that in a society where it is extremely easy to abuse prescription drugs, there also is another way to deal with the difficulties/challenges that life puts before us… I know there are many cases that the drugs might be the only thing that would work but there are also many cases that you can choose differently. Check this article, what do you think?

Of the many potential benefits of yoga, certain forms have been associated with improving recovery from breast cancer, lessening anxiety and counteracting fibromyalgia. Yoga has many different forms — you can practice poses alone, attend a local class or even do a yoga video at home.
