Note to self…

I’ve never understood the hype for yoga fashion… I always thought that all you need to do yoga is an old t-shirt and pants/shorts. what’s the deal with paying all that money to super expensive brands?… seriously, who even cares how you look when you are in a yoga class.

  3. chinchowdoll said: thank you so much for writing this. at the studio i go to, i often get curious [if not disdainful looks] at my threadbare and fraying teeshirt/shorts ensemble in a sea of zobha and lululemon spandex.

  5. arichandrasana said: It’s usually easier to do yoga in clothing that sits close to your skin. Easier for instructors to accurately see your body too. And then once you get sweating, it’s nicer to have clothing that wicks. You’re right, no one cares how you look!
  6. hmmyeswellmaybe said: I understand wanting to do yoga in comfy / nice clothing, but I think as soon as you find yourself saying ‘oh, I can’t do yoga now because my lululemon pants are in the wash’ it’s time to reassess things!
