“You will feel like an onion: skin after skin, subterfuge after subterfuge, is pulled off to find no kernel at the center. Which is the whole point: to find out that the ego is indeed a fake – a wall of defence around a wall of defence, … around nothing.” —Ibid (via heartmindspirit)

“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” —Eleanor Roosevelt

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” —John Lennon (via gwenmccartney)

seriously?!

I have never heard a more stupid question than “what would you do if you knew that tomorrow was going to be your last day on this planet?”. This is the most obnoxious question ever. Really really makes me angry. First, how do you know this is not your last day, or even last minute? So, if there is something you want to do, why not do it now? Stop, thinking and do it already. Get rid of the “if” sentences. Just do it. Something is really important to you, do it! Act on it. Move on. Second, what really made me angry about this question -particularly today- was that I read this question on a yoga blog. Helloo?! Seriously?! How can you ask such question on a yoga blog? If you are “trying” to mention the importance of living the moment (which I seriously doubt), ask a different question. Making me angry at 10:00 AM on a lovely Tuesday morning…! Breathe… Breathe… Breathe… Breathe…

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” —Albert Einstein (via kari-shma)

“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” —Sylvia Plath (via teachingliteracy)
